§ 2621. Board of Health and Environmental Quality
TITLE 1: GOVERNMENT DIVISION 2: EXECUTIVE BRANCH § 2621. Board of Health and Environmental Quality. There is in the Commonwealth government a Board of Health and Environ- mental Quality, composed of 16 members, appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Three members shall be from Rota, three members shall be from Tinian, and 10 shall be from Saipan. One of the Saipan members shall represent the islands north of Saipan. Nine members shall be consumers of health care services and seven members shall be providers of health care services. Source: PL 1-8, tit. 1, ch. 12, § 8, modified. Commission Comment: Executive Order 94-3, the “Second Reorganization Plan of 1994” (effective August 23, 1994), reorganized the Commonwealth government executive branch, changed agency names and official titles and effected numerous other revisions. According to Executive Order 94-3, § 305: Section 305. Department of Public Health. (a) Board of Public Health and Environmental Quality. The Board of Public Health and Environmental Quality is abolished and its functions transferred to the Secretary of Public Health.
