§ 432. Rota- Library
TITLE 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS § 432. Rota: Library. The Rota Public Library Building and Annex shall be known as “Antonio Camacho Atalig Memorial Library.” Source: PL 2-50, § 1; amended by PL 17-25 § 3 (December 16, 2010). Commission Comment: Public Law 17-25 (effective December 16, 2010) included the following: Section 1. Short Title. This Act shall be known as the “Rota Public Library Amendment Act of 2010”. Section 2. The Legislature finds that Public Law 2-50 named the Rota Public Library building located in Songsong Village on the island of Rota, “Antonio Camacho Atalig Memorial Library” in honor of the late Mayor Antonio Camacho Atalig of Rota. The Legislature further finds that the Antonio Camacho Atalig Memorial Library has been moved from its original location in Songsong Village to the Rota Northern Marianas Campus in Tatachog Village. The purpose of this Act is to assure the continuity in honoring the legacy of the late Antonio Camacho Atalig regardless of the location of the Antonio Camacho Atalig Memorial Library.
