§ 462. Location and Real Estate
TITLE 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS § 462. Location and Real Estate. (a) Location of the monument shall be decided by the Governor’s Special Assistant for Indigenous Affairs; provided, however, that the site is acceptable to a majority of the families of those who were lost at sea and whose bodies were not recovered; and that such site is located in Saipan close to the sea and in full view of the sea. (b) The Marianas Public Land Corporation shall, pursuant to its authority under N.M.I. Const. art. XI and 2 CMC § 4113, provide to the custody of the Office of Indigenous Affairs a plot of land and access thereto, the size of which will be determined when monument layout and design has been finalized.
