§ 6937. Appropriations and Reprogramming
TITLE 1: GOVERNMENT DIVISION 6: ELECTIONS § 6937. Appropriations and Reprogramming. The Mayor shall include in his/her budget submission to the legislature, for each fiscal year in which his regular term of office will expire, an identified appropriation for use under this chapter shall remain available for any mayoral transition during the fiscal year in which the transition occurs. The Secretary of Finance is authorized to expend all funds necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter. In the event the legislature fails to appropriate the necessary funds to carry out the purposes of this chapter, the Mayor shall reprogram resources appropriated to the respective senatorial departments so that the purposes of this chapter may be achieved.
