§ 7501. Application for Federal Grant Funds
TITLE 1: GOVERNMENT DIVISION 7: PLANNING, BUDGETING AND AUDITING § 7501. Application for Federal Grant Funds. (a) No Commonwealth agency shall make an application for federal monies or for participation in a federally assisted program under any federal law, and no Commonwealth agency may approve an application for these monies or partici- pation submitted by an agency other than a Commonwealth agency, unless the Commonwealth agency shall have notified the Special Assistant for Planning and Budgeting on forms and in a manner to be prescribed by the special assistant. Such notice may: (1) Refer to the statutory authority under which the action is proposed; (2) Describe the substance of the application; (3) Indicate where a complete copy of the application and any amendments or supplements thereto may be obtained; and (4) Contain a fiscal statement setting forth: (i) The estimated amount of federal monies to be received per year for the program for which the monies are sought; and (ii) The estimated amount of cash matching or in-kind matching to be supplied by the Commonwealth and any other source from which monies will be required. (b) In order to avoid any inconsistency or duplication in review functions, the special assistant shall establish procedures whereby notices given under this section shall be coordinated with other notice requirements for project or plan proposals in connection with federal aid. The special assistant shall promptly transmit such notices along with all grant applications and award information to the legislature. Source: PL 3-68, § 501.
