§ 7711. Metered Services
TITLE 1: GOVERNMENT DIVISION 7: PLANNING, BUDGETING AND AUDITING § 7711. Metered Services. (a) In making payments for commodities or services, the quantity of which is determined by metered readings, such as gas, electricity, water, and the like, and for telephone services, where the period of receipt covered by the charge begins in one fiscal year of apportionment period and ends in another, the entire amount of the payment may be regarded as a charge against the appropriation or appor- tionment current at the end of such period of receipt of such services, or upon receipt of such charge, whichever is the latter. (b) To the greatest extent practicable, all Commonwealth branches, depart- ments, agencies, and government corporations shall be metered and charged for their consumption of metered services.
