Public Law 15-57 was enacted on June 5, 2007 by override and contained severability and savings clauses but not findings or purpose provi- sions. Public Law 15-116 was enacted on November 29, 2007, and contained the following findings and purpose in addition to other enactments (see 1 CMC §§ 8265 et seq. and resulting renumbering of articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 5, Di- vision 8, herein) and severability and savings provisions: Section 1. Findings and Purpose. The Commonwealth Legislature finds that government employees should be permitted to use their earned sick leave to attend to immediate family members who are sick.
