§ 5592. Seizure- Authority
TITLE 4: ECONOMIC RESOURCES DIVISION 5: BUSINESS REGULATION § 5592. Seizure: Authority. The Director of the Department of Commerce, Alcoholic Beverage and To- bacco Control Division shall have the power to seize and hold without legal process until an order of disposition is made by the court, the following: (a) Any alcoholic beverages manufactured in the CNMI by any person other than a licensed manufacturer regardless of where found. (b) Any stills, materials, or supplies capable of and intended for use in manu- facture of alcoholic beverages without a license. (c) Any alcoholic beverages imported, possessed or owned in violation of the provisions in this Chapter. (d) Any alcoholic beverages adulterated, diluted, misbranded or mislabeled and any distilled spirit containers which have been refilled with distilled spirits. (e) Any vehicles used to carry or conceal any alcoholic beverages which are subject to seizure. Source: MIDC § 11.20.030; PL 17-83 § 3 (September 23, 2012), repealed and re-enacted.
